Helping the Refugees

I went to the Slovenian border to help the refugees and give them supplies. First of all my mother, my Arabic teacher, his wife and two of their friends had to buy supplies for them.

This summer in Orebic, on the Peljesac peninsula, I sang and played the guitar and earned a lot of money, so I used this money to buy supplies like plastic gloves, trash bags, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. When we got to the border it was crowded. We went up to the people and families ourselves and gave them the supplies they needed the most. We brought some sweets to the children to cheer them up! I spoke to the refugees in Arabic, and so did my Arabic teacher, which also cheered them up. I think seeing a blond, blue-eyed white European kid speaking in Arabic wasn't something they see every day.

I felt extremely bad for them but happy that I could at least help make waiting to cross the border a little easier for them.
